St marys daily press8/1/2023 ![]() They had Classical down 14-0 until just before the half ended before the Rams scored.That seemed to be all Classical needed, as the Rams dominated the final two quarters to win, 28-14.After eking one out over Revere, Marblehead lost another crusher last week to Salem, at home, 21-13, after sprinting out to a 13-0 first-quarter lead.Injuries have played a part in the tough start for Marblehead. ![]() The Magicians have been right there ? but they haven’t been able to seal the deal. Injuries and a plethora of good NEC/North teams have stood in Marblehead’s way in getting off to a better start. It’s been a rocky road thus far for last year’s NEC/South champs. Mary’s went to the postseason was 2005, when – as a CCL/Small team – the Spartans won the Division 6 Super Bowl.Other games Saturday:Marblehead at SaugusAt Stackpole Field (2), the Magicians, 2-4, could use a win in the first game on their Northeastern Conference/South schedule.
